About this site

J. Krishnamurti Online is a unique initiative of the four Krishnamurti Foundations to make the teachings of J. Krishnamurti freely available, downloadable, and to guarantee authenticity.

Krishnamurti Foundation of America, Krishnamurti Foundation India, Krishnamurti Foundation Trust (England), and Fundación Krishnamurti Latinoamericana are the only Foundations established by J. Krishnamurti. They are responsible for preserving the authenticity of his teachings. The Foundations are committed to making these teachings freely available to all. We ask those who wish to assist the Foundations in translating these teachings to contact us. Individuals and groups who wish to make Krishnamurti's work known are encouraged to work with the Foundations.

Site Content

The site guarantees the authenticity of a large text collection of many of Krishnamurti’s published works between 1933 and 1986, together with several hundred transcripts of audio & video recordings, the equivalent of 200 average-sized books. The site content is fully searchable.

A selection of video and audio is freely available in streaming format. Future plans include adding previously unpublished work to the online text collection, and expanding the video & audio content.

After Krishnamurti left the Theosophical Society, he began to travel extensively giving public talks and holding discussions in many places around the world, from major cities like London, Paris, Bombay and New York, to small towns in India. Many of these were published as Verbatim Reports, from July 1933 until 1967. In 1992 the Krishnamurti Foundation of America compiled these texts in 17 volumes and republished them under the title The Collected Works of J. Krishnamurti. These texts are also included in this site.

This new website is offered to the public in Beta form as an ongoing project, since there is a vast amount of further work that can be done to expand its features and content. Almost 50% of Krishnamurti’s lifetime work remains unpublished, and should eventually be added to the site’s resources.

A project of this scope requires considerable funds to reach its potential, especially if we consider that the foundations may lose income by providing text, audio and video for free. The future of this site will therefore depend on the generosity of the users. Please consider donating using the link in the menu above.
